Article 1 (Scope)
These terms set out the conditions for using長谷川侑希(the "Company") business-card service "tapuda" (the "Service"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.
Article 2 (Accounts)
Using the Service requires registering an email address. We verify your identity with a link sent to that address. There is no password.
Keeping your email address secure is your responsibility. Anyone who can read that mailbox can get into the account.
If you are a minor, please use the Servicewith the consent of a legal guardian. The same applies to buying cards.
Article 3 (Information made public)
What you enter on your card is shown toanyone who taps your card, scans your QR code, or knows your public URL. The public URL is an ID you choose, not an unguessable string. It may be indexed by search engines.
Whether to include a phone number or other contact details is your decision. Anyone who finds your card sees the same content.
Article 4 (Exchange records)
When you keep another user's card, the record stays with you. It is one-directional and does not appear on their side.
Even if you stop publishing a card,the records held by people who already received it remain.You cannot take back what someone has received.
However, if the user who gave the card deletes their account, the record is removed from the recipient's side too.Deleting an account includes a request to erase personal data, so records held by other users are deleted as well.
Article 5 (Cards distributed by companies)
This article covers the case where a company pays for cards and distributes them to its employees ("users").
Users create their own accounts.A company cannot create accounts for users, and the Company does not create them at a company's request. The card is linked to the user's account at the moment they start using it.
For the cards it distributed, a company can see:
- The email address of the user who started using that card
- Whether the card is in use, unused, or revoked
A company cannot see:
- The content of the card (a company cannot edit it either)
- The cards the user received (Article 4 records belong to the user)
The above is shown to the user on the screen where they start using the card. Users start using it having understood what is visible.
A company may revoke a card it distributed. Anyone who taps a revoked card sees only that it is not in use; nothing that identifies the user is shown.
Even when a card is revoked,the user's account, cards and received records remain.Only that card is revoked; other cards the user owns are unaffected.
Rights and obligations between a company and its users — employment status, returning cards, whether to revoke — are matters between them. The Company is not involved.
Article 6 (Public URL IDs)
The ID used in a card's public URL goes to whoever registered it first. Even after publishing stops, the ID stays reserved for that user and no one else can take it.This prevents someone who previously received that card from landing on a different person's page.
The ID is not released to other users even if the account is deleted. On deletion we erase the name, contact details and introduction, but keep the ID itself in an unusable state. This prevents anyone who previously received the card, or who taps a card already handed out, from landing on a different person's page.
Article 7 (Prohibited conduct)
The following are prohibited.
- Impersonating another person
- Publishing content that violates the law or public order and morals
- Interfering with the operation of the Service
- Using another user's information for purposes they did not intend
Article 8 (Changes and suspension)
The Company may change the Service or stop providing it. If we stop, we will give notice in advance where possible.
Even if the Service ends,the cards you received can be exported as vCard or CSV.We will provide an opportunity to export before it ends.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
The Company is not liable for damage arising from use of the Service, except where caused by our intent or gross negligence.
The Company does not verify the accuracy of what users enter.
Article 10 (Changes to these terms)
The Company may change these terms. Revised terms take effect when posted on this page.
Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes concerning the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Company's head office, as the court of first instance.
